Good afternoon everyone, happy Sunday!
Over my career, I have amassed hundreds (if not thousands) of images from numerous patients I’ve seen. I have previously used some for lectures and social media posts, but I am considering using them in a more comprehensive way in a new section of my website: a large bank of annotated cases available to paying/founding subscribers for unlimited, on-demand continuing education. This would include photos of cytology, blood smears, histopathology, fluid samples, gross lesions, laboratory data, and potentially whole slide scans in the future. This could also include short instruction videos on various lab techniques (I.e. how to properly make a blood smear).
Let me know if this something you would like to see by filling out this poll 👇
You can also leave additional thoughts in the comments or by emailing me at allscience@substack.com.
As a soon-to-be-resident pathologist, I would fully support this, $$ included. (though probably in the $5-10/mo range because as you know there won't be a lot of that for awhile :))
As an idea, I absolutely love it! But as you may know I'm not philosophically in favor of paywalls or monetizing information, although I absolutely support, as a practical matter, writers being paid for all their hard work and long hours. 🙂
